Third step: Registration procedure

  1. Go to the page ONLINE PREREGISTRATION.
  2. Complete the form online and upload the following documents that are required during the procedure:
    1. digital photo .jpg-format (dimensions 768x1024 pixels or 3:4 format) The photo should be a front portrait of the candidate on a white or light coloured background as is required for identity cards.
    2. first page of the passport or identity card.
    3. certificate of previous studies (certifying the award and the relevant exams). If it is more than a page, it should be sent as a single pdf file.
    4. letter of presentation by religious superior (Bishop for diocesan seminarians, Abbot for religious, Parish Priest or other cleric for lay students).

  3. After uploading digital copies of the required documents, you will see the summary page which is to be printed, signed and handed in to the Office of the Segreteria Generale.
  4. The Segreteria Generale verifies that all the conditions are met for matriculation. After the verification has been made, the Segreteria Generale will send an email details of an appointment for registration.
  5. NOTA BENE: Those who need a preregistration certificate to obtain a student visa can ask for this in the same email.
  6. Go to the on-line form of the PLAN OF STUDIES  .
    1. At Sant’Anselmo, introduce yourself to the Dean/President/Co-ordinator of the relevant programme of studies.
    2. Bring the Plan of Studies with you to the Dean/President/Co-ordinator of the relevant programme of studies.
  7. Come to the Office of the Segreteria Generale at the tine of the appointment to hand in
    1. a photograph (tessera format) for the personal record,
    2. the summary of the online preregistration,
    3. the plan of studies signed by the President/Dean/Co-ordinator. The original certificates will be returned after the Segreteria Generale has verified the authenticity of the photocopies for the personal record.
    4. the DATA PROTECTION CONSENT form is obligatory for new students. You may read it here: "Information on the Processing of Students’ Personal Data".
  8. Wait for an email with the MAV (form for payment by bank transfer).
  9. Print out and complete payment.

Deadlines

  1. Payment of the annual fees can be divided into two semester payments:
    • The first payment to be made at the latest by 15 November (first semester);
    • The second payment to be made at the latest by 1 March (second semester);
  2. Payment for the Third Cycle (Dottorato) can be divided into two payments (for the Faculty of Teologia and for the PIL):
    • The first payment to be made at the latest by 15 November (first semester);
    • The second payment to be made at the latest by 1 March (second semester);
  3. Payments for special fees (out-of-term exams, delivery of theses/tesinas, diplomas and certificates) should be made in the days immediately following receipt of the MAV bill.

Nota bene

  • Delays in payment carry a surcharge as indicated in the relevant form (see Tasse speciali, or "Special Fees").
  • Fees paid are not returned, except by special consent of the Rettore Magnifico (Rector).
  • No one is allowed to take an exam with outstanding fees.
  • The Ateneo does not issue invoices or receipts, even for tax purposes. The receipt of the MAV is sufficient.
