Fr. Pachomius, a professor and two-term Secretary General of our International Benedictine University in Rome, Sant’Anselmo, was in Tanzania recently. He gave two seminars to the Sisters of Our Lady of Kilimanjaro, Tanzania at their motherhouse, Huruma Convent Conference Center, Mkuu-Rombo. The first seminar, on “Liturgical Prayer and Language,” was held on Thursday, 4 January, while the second, on “The Origin and that which Sustains the Life of the Church: Baptism and the Eucharist,” was held on Sunday, 7 January. The seminars were warmly received by about 300 participants. The Superior General would like to send some of her sisters to Rome to study in our Pontifical Institute of Liturgy, Sant’Anselmo.

On Saturday, 6 January, Br. Arsanius became the first Coptic Benedictine Missionary to profess his monastic vows before the prior, Fr. John Baptist, and Fr. Maximilian Musindai, and the monks of the Prince of Peace Benedictine Monastery, Tigoni, Limuru, Kenya.
