2-Step Verification

THE FIRST STEP : YOUR PASSWORD

When we created your G Suite Anselmianum account, you received a temporary password. Then, you were prompted to insert a permanent, private password.

If you have forgotten the password and cannot retrieve it, please bring your ID card to the Office of the Segretaria. We will reset your password and send a new temporary password to your Recovery Email address. This is the personal email address you provided at registration. After you login with the temporary password we send you, you will be asked to create a new password, so have one prepared.

THE SECOND STEP : YOUR TELEPHONE

Your password is the first step in the verification process. Now, for security reasons, Sant’Anselmo is requiring a second step. It requires a telephone.

Normally, the second step is a numeric code that Google will send to your telephone. Google can send this six-digit number to your phone either as an SMS text message or as an automated-voice telephone call. To do this, Google must have your telephone number.

However, there are alternative second-step methods, including installing Google Authenticator or Google App. You are welcome to use these.

NOTA BENE

When you turn on 2-Step Verification, the other apps you use to access your G Suite products may stop working. For example, Outlook or Apple Mail may no longer retrieve your Gmail. This is because these apps need the second step to access the account.
