Tuesday, 17 March 2026 - 4 p.m. (CET): The Pontifical Liturgical Institute cordially invites faculty, students, and the general public to a special Open Lecture given by Prof. Dr. Anthony Ruff, O.S.B., entitled
"Liturgical Renewal after Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis: It’s All About Vatican II."
The lecture will explore the distinctive mark left by both popes on the liturgy of the Catholic Church. Drawing upon a synthesis of their insights, Prof. Ruff will illustrate how the Church can continue to embrace and implement the fundamental vision of the Second Vatican Council.

About the Speaker
Fr. Anthony Ruff, O.S.B., is a monk and priest of St. John's Abbey, teaching liturgy, liturgical music, and Gregorian chant at Saint John's School of Theology and Seminary in Collegeville, Minnesota. A scholar and international lecturer, he chaired the committee that composed the English chant melodies for the 2011 Roman Missal, has published widely in liturgical and musical journals, and moderated the widely read liturgy blog Pray Tell.
