From Monday 3 August up to Friday 4 September 2026, with the help of the AIM, the new edition of the permanent monastic training course in English, organized by the Faculty of Theology and the Monastic Institute of the Athenaeum, will take place.
The topic of this course will be: "Discernment in monastic life".
The course starts all days at 11:00 am Rome time and lasts 5 weeks.
1 - Prof.ssa Alessia Brombin, obl. O.S.B. Cam: The Art of Spiritual Discernment: Wisdom of the Desert Fathers and Mothers.
2 - Prof.ssa suor Silvia Corbalán: Discernment in the consecrated virgin according to St Jerome.
3 - Prof. Javier García L., O.S.B.: Knowing Oneself in Order to Love. The Discernment of Affecti in Monastic Thought.
4 - Prof. Stefan Geiger, O.S.B.: The Liturgical Shape of Monastic Discernment.
5 - Prof. Fernando Rivas, O.S.B.: Discernment in the monastic schools of the 6th century.
